New Surf Spot 'De Bunker'

New surf spot for 2024: 'De Bunker'. This spot, named after the historic Seeziebatterie from the Second World War, has offered excellent waves in various conditions since the beach replenishment of 2023 and the subsequent winter storms of 2023/24.

'De Bunker' is located approximately 600 meters north of Beach Pavilion De Stern. Thanks to the sand from the beach nourishment that has been washed into this place, there is no deep channel between the beach and the rear sandbank. This causes the waves to break on the back sandbank and roll beautifully towards the beach, creating perfect surfing conditions.
